Waylon Walsh and Shayne Walsh Obituary – Family and Community Mourn Deep Loss
The family of Shayne Walsh, age 53, and his son Waylon Walsh, age 6, is mourning their sudden and heartbreaking passing on Monday, May 11th, 2026. The loss of both father and son has left their loved ones devastated, as family members, friends, and members of their wider community come together to support one another during this difficult time of grief.
Shayne Walsh is remembered by those closest to him as a devoted father, loving partner, and a steady presence within his family. He shared a strong and caring bond with his son Waylon, who brought joy and light into the lives of everyone around him. Together, they are being remembered not only for their individual personalities but also for the deep connection they shared as father and son.
Waylon Walsh, age 6, is being remembered as a bright, affectionate, and joyful child whose presence touched the hearts of his family. Though his life was tragically short, loved ones describe him as someone who brought happiness, laughter, and warmth to those around him. His memory is now held closely by his parents, extended family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Shayne is survived by his partner and Waylon’s mother, Caitlyn Stefan, who now faces the unimaginable loss of both her partner and child. He is also survived by his daughter Alexandria Walsh (Trent) and her daughter Amelia, as well as his sister Jenny Walsh (Steve), along with her children Hunter, Priscilla, Piper, and Leah. Family members have expressed deep sorrow and are leaning on one another for support during this period of mourning.
Waylon is also lovingly remembered by his maternal grandparents, Brian and Brenda Stefan, and his aunt Julia Stefan (Mike). In addition, both Shayne and Waylon are mourned by numerous extended family members, including aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends, all of whom are grieving this sudden and painful loss.
At the request of the family, services will remain private. A family visitation and funeral service will be held, followed by interment at St. Andrew’s United Cemetery in Vittoria. Reverend Mary Jo Patterson will officiate the service. Funeral arrangements are being handled by FERRIS FUNERAL HOME in Simcoe.
