It is with heavy hearts that family and friends mourn the unexpected passing of Sarah Elizabeth Counceller, who died on Monday, May 11, 2026, at the age of 34.

Born on September 14, 1991, in Connersville, Indiana, Sarah was the beloved daughter of Joseph Counceller and Michelle Pierce Counceller. Her life was defined by compassion, creativity, and a deep love for the people and animals she cared about most.

A 2010 graduate of Connersville Senior High School, Sarah was known from an early age for both her talent and determination. During her younger years, she excelled as a gymnast, earning numerous medals and awards throughout the state. Friends and loved ones remember her as someone whose passion and dedication were evident in everything she pursued.

Sarah began her working career at Showtime Cinema Movie Theater before later devoting herself to waitressing and home health care. Those careers reflected her caring nature and genuine desire to help others. Through her work in caregiving, she formed a close and meaningful bond with Linda and Bobby Crabtree, who became like family to her over the years.

Loved ones shared that after Linda Crabtree’s passing, Bobby continued honoring his promise to always look after Sarah, a reflection of the deep friendship and love they shared throughout her life.

Outside of work, Sarah embraced life with a creative and adventurous spirit. She loved the outdoors, fishing, collecting rocks, caring for animals, and capturing special moments through photography. Family and friends often admired the pride and joy she found in sharing the photos she took and the beauty she discovered in everyday life.

Above all else, Sarah was a devoted and loving mother to her two sons, Jaxon Cooper Seale and Jonah Lee Counceller. Her children were the center of her world, and she treasured every moment spent with them — whether riding bikes, playing sports, or simply enjoying quiet time together at home.

Those who knew Sarah describe her as kind-hearted, welcoming, and deeply compassionate. She had a unique ability to make others feel valued and cared for, and her warmth left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Sarah Elizabeth Counceller is survived by her beloved children; her mother; sister; brother; grandparents; aunts; uncles; cousins; her special friend Bobby Crabtree; and many friends and loved ones who will continue cherishing her memory.
