David Guenther Obituary, Club Springs Area Car Accident: Fatal Motorcycle Collision Claims Life of 66-Year-Old

The Club Springs community in Smith County is mourning the tragic loss of 66-year-old David Guenther, who died following a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon on Club Springs Road near Carthage.

According to emergency officials, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. and involved a collision between Guenther’s motorcycle and a passenger vehicle. The impact prompted an immediate response from the Smith County Rescue Squad and other first responders.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene and began administering life-saving measures. Due to the severity of his injuries, Guenther was transported to a landing zone at the Stonewall boat ramp, where crews with the Gordonsville Fire Department assisted in preparing him for an emergency airlift.

He was subsequently transported by medical helicopter to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for further treatment. Despite extensive efforts by both first responders and hospital medical staff, Guenther later succumbed to his injuries.

News of his passing has deeply impacted the close-knit Club Springs community, where he is being remembered by family, friends, and neighbors as a valued member of the area.

Authorities have not released additional details regarding the circumstances of the crash. The Tennessee Highway Patrol continues to investigate the incident.
