Ashley Ross Obituary, Alliance, OH Found Dead; Husband Sought on Murder Warrant

The Alliance, Ohio community is reeling after a tragic and deeply disturbing incident Wednesday morning left a woman dead and prompted an active homicide investigation involving her husband, who is now wanted on a murder charge.

According to the Alliance Police Department, officers were dispatched around 7:00 a.m. to a residence in the 300 block of West Ely Street after receiving reports of two children inside the home yelling for help.

When officers arrived, they discovered that the children had found their mother, identified as Ashley Ross, deceased inside a bedroom of the residence, according to Lt. Christopher McCord.

Police immediately secured the home and safely removed the children from the scene. Authorities said family members who had arrived at the residence were reunited with the children shortly afterward.

Detectives later obtained a search warrant and began processing the residence for evidence with assistance from investigators from the Stark County Coroner’s Office.

Authorities identified the suspect as 49-year-old Robert Andre Ross, Ashley Ross’s husband. Police confirmed that an active warrant has been issued charging him with murder.

Investigators warned that Robert Andre Ross is considered armed and dangerous and may currently be in possession of a firearm. Officials are urging members of the public not to approach him and to immediately contact law enforcement if he is seen or if anyone has information regarding his whereabouts.

Police also warned that anyone who knowingly aids, harbors, or assists Ross could face criminal charges.

At this time, investigators have not publicly released additional details regarding the circumstances surrounding Ashley Ross’s death as the homicide investigation remains active and ongoing.
